Demonstrations, Talks and Other Events
Monoprint/monotype workshop at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in Manhattan with Akua Inks, and the Akua Pin Press. This video of the event is an example of the many printmaking demonstrations I have done throughout the New York metro area and beyond over the past number of years.
This 30-minute video is of a lecture that I gave at the Korea Society about the history of printmaking in relation to the joint Korean/American printmaking exhibition, Made in New York/Made in Seoul. I helped curate this group exhibition and I was a participant as well. The exhibition traveled from the Korea Society in Manhattan to the Seoul Museum of Art’s Gyeonghuigung Annex in Seoul, South Korea.
Here is a video produced by Carrier Pigeon Magazine where I discuss the magazine as well as my work. Many of my monoprints and etchings can be found in issues of Carrier Pigeon Magazine.
These photos were taken during the MoMA workshop. In the first shot, I am showing one of my monoprints with the help of Justin Sanz, the Master Printer and Director of the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop, who assisted me in running the workshop. Standing to my left in the fourth picture, is Michael Ginsberg, the President and Founder of Legion Paper. Next to him is Stephen Fredericks, original President and Founder of the New York Society of Etchers, both of whom attended the workshop. It was such an honor to have these guys there with me. And thanks soooo much to all of my friends, and students, and former students who attended this seminar. Its really so touching for me.
This is a shortened version of a video, made in the fall of 2000. It highlights interviews with Otto Neals, Robert Blackburn and me, as well. You can see the full version of the video on YouTube.
